This woodblock-inspired print renders a black Newfoundland seated on flat lakeside rocks at dusk, silhouetted against pale rose and slate-blue sky. A low pink sun hovers above a dark mountain ridge, its reflection bleeding into the still water below. Cattails and pine boughs frame the composition in the flat, layered style of Edo-period landscape prints — cool indigo shadows, muted blush horizon, fine ink linework on every fir tree and ripple.
